Just a short 3-mile drive through Newbiggin-by-the-Sea brings you to Sandy Bay Holiday Park where you can make use of the facilities and enjoy the entertainment, should you wish. Alternatively, stroll into Newbiggin for shops, takeaways and pubs.

    From the A1 at Seaton Burn, take the exit onto the A19 signposted Tyne Tunnel.

    Then take the A189 signposted Ashington, heading north.

    After approximately 8 miles, at the next roundabout turn right onto the B1334 towards Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.

    Continue along the road past Sandy Bay Holiday Park on your right and Church Point is 1.5 miles further along on the right.

     

    Local Area

    Farne Island

    As well as being the most famous Sea Bird Sanctuary in the British Isles they also have a large colony of Atlantic or Grey Seals. Join one of the many year-round trips and explore this most wonderous of British archipelagoes on one of the fleet of seagoing motor vessels.

    Castle Mania

    Castle Mania, Amble has a themed indoor adventure play area for children under 12 with over 40 play and interactive features. There is also a soft play area and mini football court for toddlers.

    Cragside Country Park

    A Victorian house situated in 900 acres of hillside, lakes and woodlands with paths, labyrinth and country drives. This house was the first in the world to be lit by electricity.


    Whitehouse Farm Centre

    An all-weather fun attraction with everything from traditional farm animals and cuddly pets to adventure playground, tractor and trailer rides and seasonal events.

    Blyth

    Blyth is a pretty town with Yacht Club and Marina. Enjoy fishing at the Quay or a walk in Ridley Park.

    Hadrian's Wall Cycleway and Collingwood Monument

    Cycle along Hadrian's Wall and enjoy the spectacular scenery including the monument of Admiral Lord Collingwood who was Admiral Nelson's second in command at the Battle of Trafalgar.


    Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens

    Exciting hands-on exhibits and interactive displays tell the story of Sunderland from its prehistoric past through to the present day with over 1,500 flowers and plants in the beautiful gardens.

    Our static caravans are graded according to the level of furnishings, fixtures and fittings. These holiday homes provide a comfortable and affordable option for your stay.


    Gold accommodation is 12 foot wide as standard, with the added bonus of bedroom heating, making this the ideal option for space and comfort all season through.
    Expect to find bedroom and bathroom heating, as well as a gas fire in the lounge, plus a shower room and lots of luxury fixtures and fittings.

    Silver caravan holiday homes are available at all 37 Holiday Parks and offer a superior level of furnishings and comfort, for you and your family to relax.
    Silver caravans have the option of either 10 foot or 12 foot wide and a choice of either 2 or 3 bedroom models sleeping up to 8 people, all for the price you pay.

    Bronze caravans
    This is our most affordable accommodation option, promising comfort at fantastic value. Your dog can even stay too.
    Bronze Accommodation is the only grade of accommodation permitting dogs (up to a maximum of 2 per accommodation).
    Note: Pets are not welcome in any 2009 models at any Park.
    Bronze caravans are 10ft wide as standard and you can expect a colour TV, gas fire, fridge, oven and microwave as a minimum.
