For a day out, head to the Nearby New Forest and spot the famous ponies or visit the bustling resorts of Poole and Bournemouth.

    1. Take the A35 along the South Coast between Southampton and Dorchester.

    2. Approximately 5 miles west of Poole, turn onto the A351 signposted to Wareham.

    3. Visitors approaching the park from Poole or Wareham should turn off the A351 at Holton Heath traffic lights.

    4. You will find the entrance to the park 100 yards down Organford Road.

    Sandford offers a location with the best of both worlds; you can explore the New Forest or miles of glorious beach and on the other hand the bustling centres of Poole and Bournemouth are just waiting to be explored!

    See Durdle Door, the Jurassic Coast's breathtaking natural wonder or get away from it all and explore the New Forest on foot, bicycle or by horse.

    Nearby Sandbanks beach is heaven for water sports enthusiasts, but don't worry if you're a land lubber, there's also plenty of great attractions to visit close by.

    Poole

    Famous for its beautiful natural harbour and the stunning Sandbanks Beach, Poole is a haven for water sports fans. As well as this Poole offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, theatres and much more.

    Weymouth

    Weymouth's popularity as a seaside resort can go all the way back to King George the Third who often came to bathe in the sea. Today visitors come to Weymouth for its beautiful beach and promenade as well as its many exciting family attractions.

    Dorchester

    Dorchester is a beautiful market town which has close links to Thomas Hardy. The town offers many attractions for visitors including the castle keep in the centre of the town and the Dorset County Museum.

    Wareham

    Wareham is an historic market town dating back to Roman times. Visitors can enjoy walking through the picturesque streets and along the riverbanks, visit its farmers markets or enjoy a drink in one of the many pubs or tearooms.
